Dagab’s logistics, warehousing and transport operations form the hub of the Axfood Group’s product flow. Every day, we deliver approximately 600,000 cases across Sweden to stores, customers and e-commerce operations. We are constantly on the move – creating an even more efficient and sustainable logistics flow.
Warehouses at eleven locations across Sweden
Dagab currently operates warehouses at eleven locations across Sweden. From our distribution centres, we distribute products from various suppliers to around 7,000 stores, including Axfood’s own retail chains, independently owned stores and customers in the convenience retail sector. Operations are always in full swing at Dagab’s locations across the country. Together, our warehouses have an average inventory turnover rate of 33 times per year.
Transportation with our own fleet
Approximately half of Dagab’s transportation is carried out using our own vehicles. Our fleet currently consists of around 200 heavy-duty trucks that deliver goods from the Group’s warehouses to stores. In addition, Dagab has 75 light-duty trucks that transport goods from our e-commerce warehouses directly to consumers.
Handling a large share of our transportation using our own vehicles offers several advantages. For example, our in-house transport expertise enables us to set high standards for the transportation services we procure. We are currently in the midst of the important transition towards a greener fleet.
